BamCore Secures $13.9 Million Venture Round

BamCore, a manufacturer of bamboo-based building materials, announced the completion of a $13.9 million venture round. The company, founded by William McDonald in 2008, focuses on creating sustainable structural framing systems for commercial and residential low-rise construction. This latest funding brings BamCore’s total funding to $142.2 million across ten rounds.

BamCore’s innovative structural framing system integrates with various architectural styles and aims to reduce construction time, job site waste, and reliance on specialized labor. The company’s patent-pending Load Optimized Biogenic Industrialized Construction (LOBIC) technology leverages fast-growing plants to produce high-performance, eco-friendly building materials. The flagship Prime Wall™ system exemplifies BamCore's commitment to stronger, faster, and greener construction solutions.

With its headquarters in San Francisco, BamCore continues to advance its mission of decarbonizing the built environment through sustainable building practices. The new capital will support the company’s ongoing efforts to innovate and expand its eco-friendly product offerings in the building materials industry.
